While most visitors stick to the main eastern beach, the island's interior and western edge offer a break from the noise of arriving boats. Here, the landscape transitions from powdery sand to steep rocky cliffs and dense vegetation.
This area is also where you will find the island's basic facilities and encounter local wildlife. It takes just a short walk to reach these spots, but they provide a distinct contrast to the busy arrival zones.

This side of the island features a rugged, less-visited beach bordered by steep rocky cliffs and jungle. It offers a great escape from the noise of speedboats arriving on the main shore. Access depends heavily on the tides, so check the water level before walking over. Wear water shoes or flip-flops to navigate any rocky patches.
10 minsPublic restrooms
The official National Park outpost maintains the island and houses the only public restrooms. This is a practical stop if you plan to spend several hours on Koh Poda. You will need to pay a nominal fee of about 5 THB to use the toilets. Bring small denomination coins with you, as change is rarely available.

Along the jungle fringe, wild monkeys frequently roam in search of food. It provides a chance to see local wildlife in its natural habitat. However, observe them from a distance and do not feed them. Keep a close eye on your belongings and never leave bags unattended, as the macaques are known to snatch them.
